Open bidding will take place online and will commence on September 6, 2016 and will close at 7:30 PM PDT on October 5th. In fairness to all serious bidders, and to secure the most revenue for this worthy non-profit, a final live bidding process will coincide with an annual benefit dinner and auction for Airway Science for Kids, Inc. Bidders’ name will be kept confidential. The highest received bid will be posted daily at approximately 1:00 PM PDT on the Bid Submission page of this web site (www.teenflightairplane.com). If no one bids at the “BUY IT NOW” price during the open bidding phase, the top four (4) bidders who have submitted bids prior to 7:30 PM PDT on October 5, 2016 will continue into the final live bidding process. If you are not able to attend the event to participate in the final live bidding and you are one of the top four bidders, you will be notified by email at 7:35 PM PDT that you are one of the final bidders and a volunteer proctor will call you at 8:00 PM PDT and will serve as your in-room surrogate to bid at the event on your behalf. Final Live Bidding Process: The top four individuals who have bid on the aircraft before the close of open bidding at 7:30 PM PDT on October 5, 2016, will be given the opportunity to increase their bid via on-line, phone or proxy bid during the annual benefit dinner and auction. Bid raises will be conducted by a professional benefit auctioneer in increments that she sees fit, but no less than $500. Current bids will be communicated as they change to you through the telephone by your volunteer proctor. Bidding will close when the auctioneer says SOLD.
