About the TeenFlight 4 RV-12 Airplane
TeenFlight 4 was built by a group of youth under the mentorship of several experienced aircraft builders and professionals |
The Airway Science for Kids Inc. TeenFlight Program's newest RV-12 is for sale to the highest bidder. N114TF was built in Hillsboro, Oregon by high school youth enrolled in the TeenFlight Program. Construction was overseen by experienced mentors including Richard “Dick” VanGrunsven himself during the 2015-2016 school years. We are now offering this plane for sale by auction. The proceeds of this auction will support the funding of a new RV-12 kit to be constructed by our 5th cohort of young eager teens!
N114TF is certified as an Experimental Light Sport Aircraft (ELSA). It will have approximately 50 hours total time on both the airframe and the engine, which includes a recent round-trip from Oregon to Wisconsin to participate in EAA’s 2016 AirVenture Fly-In & Convention. It’s equipped with an advanced glass-panel instrument package including a Garmin G3X Touch EFIS with two-axis autopilot, GTR-200 radio, GDL-39 ADS-B In and a GTX-23S ADS-B Out transponder. Installed extras include LED landing, strobe and position lights, Koger canopy shade and an attractive interior. A number of photos detailing the different aspects of the airplane are available on the Photos page of this web site. |
